The "Art of Preservation 2019," at the Rahr West Art Museum, Manitowoc, WI. This was the 13th year that the Rahr has hosted our work. We are deeply grateful for their continued gracious hospitality.
The art created by the Waters Edge Artists reflects their passionate interest in the conservation of land, waters, and historical sites in Wisconsin. Members come together from as far north as Michigan's UP to as far south as Milwaukee. During the summer months, WEA partners with various organizations that are dedicated to these same goals by setting up their easels outdoors and painting "en plein air" at their fund-raising events. Through sales of their paintings, they have raised awareness as well as funds to further the conservation initiatives of the Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust, Naigara Escarpement Resource Network, Lakeshore Natural Resource Protection, Natural Resources Foundations of Wisconsin and others. The group has been featured in local and national media including a recent article in Plein Air Magazine.
Are you a like minded organization with a passion for preservation? Let's talk about partnering at one of your events!
